The F65 Board of Directors is comprised of parent and community volunteers. The Board is diverse and representative of Evanston; we strive to have a mix of new and long-time residents, and residents with children of all ages -- including some not yet in the system and others who have graduated. All of our Board members are committed to providing the children of Evanston/Skokie D65 with the best in public education.
The F65 Board of Directors meets six times during the year, and committees meet every other month and more frequently as necessary. Board members sit on one of five committees: Board Development, Programs, Finance, Fundraising/Development and Communications.
In addition, the District 65 Superintendent and one school board member is designated as Ex-Officio (non-voting) Members of the Foundation 65 Board. Both of these positions are largely observational and intended to provide a communications link between F65 and D65. F65 operates with its own by-laws and is separate and independent of District 65. While separate entities, the D65 school administration, D65 school board and F65 are most effective when they work collaboratively.
