Community support can make a positive difference for students and schools — and in turn, a strong public education system is essential for a thriving community.
Foundation 65 has been successful in providing a unique model of grant-making which serves not just the District, but parents and community members as well. We have shown that investing private dollars in public education can allow the District to explore innovative, ground-breaking ways to improve education, within a framework that is accountable and measurable.
Foundation 65’s work is only possible through generous donations and the largest source of Foundation 65 gifts is individuals. Parents of current and former District 65 students, friends of public education, and residents focused on the future of our community, support Foundation 65 through their charitable donations. Private foundations, corporations, area businesses, and universities also support our programs and projects.
Together, we can make District 65 students’ educational experiences more innovative and enriching.
What do we fund?
Contributions to Foundation 65 go directly to the grant-making programs and operations of our organization. Funds are not used to compensate for budgetary shortfalls of the district. We are careful to ensure that the money we collect and distribute is used to fund projects that fall outside the scope of usual public school funding. We believe this philosophy ensures that our donations are managed responsibly and funds disbursed wisely.
